Traditional Dutch fried dumpling (oliebollen)

All FRITEL Fryers (FR, Turbo SF, FryTastic)


600 gr whiteflour
2,5 dl water
2,5 dl milk
50 gr fresh yeast or 16 gr dried yeast
2 bags vanilla sugar
4 eggs
1 table spoon of sugar


Dissolve the yeast in the water and add 1 table spoon of sugar.
Put the flour in a bowl and add milk and the water with yeast.
Take your mixer and mix carefully. Then add 4 egg yolks and mix again until you have a smooth and foamy mixture.
Put the egg whites and the vanilla sugar in a bowl and whisk.
Carefully add the egg whites to the mixture.
Let the dough rise for minimum 30 minutes with a moist cloth on top.
Take your FRITEL deep fryer and heat it up to 180°C.
Use a tablespoon to take the dough and use another tablespoon to push the dough off the first spoon into the deep fryer.
Leave the dumplings to fry and turn them so they get nice and brown on both sides.
Let them drip on kitchen paper and serve with lots of icing sugar.
